Regional Advisors
Several Senior Advisors supplement the management team with deep knowledge of key regions and a vast range of contacts drawn from both government and private sectors in Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Europe. For certain projects, Veracity will engage consultants with whom we have long-standing relationships to assist us in particular countries.
- Frank Anderson - Senior Advisor, Middle East. Frank served as a CIA officer for 30 years prior to retiring in 1994 as the Chief of the Near East Division. He has deep experience throughout the Middle East and also served as Director of the Agency's Office of Technical Services. Frank speaks Arabic and French
- Art Brown - Senior Advisor, Asia. Art is a decorated 25-year veteran of the CIA. He served as Chief of Station in three major Asian capitals, lived and worked in Asia for over 20 years, and was consecutively Chief of Asia Division for the Clandestine Service and the National Intelligence Officer for East Asia. In these capacities, Art advised the President in person and routinely testified in closed-door sessions before Congressional committees on national security and economic and regional stability issues in Asia. Upon retiring from government service in 2005, Art deployed his skills in the private sector as CEO of Control Risks Group's US-based subsidiary in Washington DC.
- Mel Gamble - Senior Advisor, Africa. Mel retired from the CIA in 2008 after four decades of distinguished work as an operations officer. His Agency service included the roles of Chief of the Africa Division and Deputy Chief of the European Division. He completed five tours in Africa including as senior intelligence representative in Burkina Faso and South Africa, as well as time in Nigeria, Kenya, and Liberia. Mel has worked closely with the National Security Council and the Departments of Defense and State on African issues. He also served as the senior-most intelligence representative in Latin America.
- Flynt Leverett - Senior Advisor, Geopolitics. Flynt held several distinguished positions in the U.S. Government from 1992 - 2003 including Senior Director for Middle East Affairs at the National Security Council and Senior Intelligence analyst at the CIA. He is a leading authority and has published extensively on U.S. foreign policy, the Middle East, and energy issues and is a principal of the consultancy Strategic Energy and Global Analysis. Flynt holds a PhD in politics from Princeton University.
