Steven served for nearly a decade as a US diplomat in Burundi, France, Washington DC, and Algeria. Prior to founding Veracity, he built and managed the New York office of a leading international business intelligence and risk management firm. He has also worked in private equity and founded an internet business. Steven holds a BA from Princeton University, an M.Phil from the University of Cambridge, and an MBA from INSEAD. He speaks French.
Robb has a decade of combined experience in the venture capital, software, and management consulting industries and has worked closely with leaders in other sectors including telecommunications, automobiles, financial services, technology, and professional sports. He most recently opened and ran the Asia office of a US-based venture capital firm. Robb also gained entrepreneurial experience through founding a boutique international advisory firm focused on Asian markets. He holds a BA from Boston College, was a competitive golfer, and speaks German.
James was co-founder and joint managing director of an international trading company with offices in several African countries. He has been a director of several listed South African companies, including a major industrial and mining group where he was also a member of the executive committee. James recently retired from the board of South Africa's largest construction group after 10 years of service. In addition to his work with Veracity he is a consultant to an African real estate company and is a non-executive director of a listed South African consumer goods company. James holds an MA degree from the University of Cambridge.
Josh served for nine years as an intelligence analyst at the CIA, where he gained particular expertise on political and energy issues in Eurasia and the Middle East. Following his government service, Josh joined Chevron as a manager for international government affairs where he supported the company's business development efforts in China, India, the Middle East, and Eurasia. He holds a BA from Stanford University and an MA from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University.
Rina has a background in strategic consulting, finance, and entrepreneurial work in both the US and India. Her career began in the Emerging Markets practice at consultants A.T. Kearney, working in both New York and Washington, DC. Rina later joined the M&A division of Credit Suisse First Boston in New York. She then returned to India to start Veracity Worldwide - India. She holds a BA from Princeton University and a D.Phil. from the University of Oxford where she was a Fulbright Scholar. Rina is bilingual in English and Hindi/Urdu, and also speaks French.
Antoine served as Managing Director at Morgan Stanley in London for 14 years, focusing on corporate finance and relationship management for Benelux clients. He holds a BA degree from the Free University of Brussels.
From 2004 to 2008, David worked for a media company that produced detailed investment guides for key emerging markets. His portfolio included management of projects in Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America. In this role he interviewed political and business leaders in Nigeria, Angola, Brazil, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and many other countries. David holds a degree in communications from Sydney, Australia's University of Technology and speaks Spanish and Portuguese.
Michael is a former naval intelligence officer with two decades of experience in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, frequently under crisis or combat conditions. He has particular expertise on China issues and recently completed an assignment in Hong Kong. Michael is skilled in managing sensitive negotiations and has served as an advisor to senior officials in business, academia, international organizations, and the security services of several Western nations. He has been asked to testify before Congress in both closed and open hearings and holds a graduate degree in international public policy from Johns Hopkins University. He speaks Mandarin.
